Sunblinds made from PVC are available in all shapes and colors. They are robust, watertight and easy to clean. In order to ensure they can withstand intensive usage for extended periods, a safe and clean weld is absolutely essential. The individual sheets must be connected so they fit precisely and are completely leaktight. Hem seams, fillet welds and concave welds must be capable of bearing large loads. The compact and fast VARIANT T1 or the stationary welding machine SEAMTEK 900 AT are ideally-suited for larger sunblinds/sun shades.
The smaller UNIPLAN E has proven itself for precise weldings. If you want to thermally weld acrylic materials, there is a suitable accessory for heat-activated adhesive tapes, in order to achieve solid, waterproof seams, even with acrylic fabrics. Various hand welding tools are available for these applications too: the small HOT JET S for thin materials, the tried-and-tested TRIAC ST and AT or the SONORA heat gun. Matching nozzles and pressure rollers complete the range.
